wedding and engagement rings? Is it really true that people did not start wearing diamond rings as wedding bands and or engagement bands until the 1930's? Was it really a marketing ploy by Debeers? I think its interesting that my dad gave my mom apples instead of an engagement ring. It told the man that I am with that if he wants to get me a ring it really just needs to be from the $.50 thing you can get a ring out of at walmart in the plastic container. a ring is a ring. He has already been married twice. I am sure he would love to save some money on me. That would be if he actually asked me to marry him. He's not the only guy I would tell to give me a ring like that. I don't really think a ring is that really important in the physical sense. just the symbolic sense. scope rings for a Leupold mark 4? I just bought a Mark 4 1.5-5x20mm MR/T M2 Illum. Workout rings for adults on Santa Monica beach.? I took a vacation to Santa Monica, California. While I was on the beach I noticed these fitness rings that people would swing on for a workout. There were about 5 rings hanging 6 or 7 feet off the ground in a straight line (the rings were about 6 feet apart). People would swing from ring to ring and then turnaround and come back. I tried it and got a great workout and had a lot of fun. Do these "fitness rings" have a name? Are they located in any other parts of the US or world?

Rings in Ad for Better Homes and Cake Magazine? There is an ad in an older Better Homes and Garden and the other magazine that has a cake on the cover every month (I am drawing a blank on the name). The add has a womens ring on a cherry or a little red fruit and the mens rings on a walnut. ok so tongue rings as belly rings? Ok so i went to my local tattoo shop and we had to get a belly ring custom made. It was a tongue ring and he bent it to the perfect shape as a belly ring. Rings turning skin dark colored.? Happened all of a sudden today. And they are not cheap rings, rather expensive ones in fact. My diamond ring (engagement) and another 3 stone diamond ring. All of a sudden looked at my hands today and both were dark colored on my ring fingers and part of the fingers that touch the rings on the other fingers.

Anyone else like non diamond engagement rings? A few years ago I got a 'promise ring' from my boyfriend, it is very simple with small diamonds in it. I love it, but there are hundreds of rings out there just like it. We have been discussing marriage and looking at rings lately, and I have come to decide that I dont really want a diamond engagement ring! We have decided on the ring (mostly), I got to help with some of the major decisions, and now he is tweaking it to make it a special and unique ring. We are having the engagement ring and wedding bands both custom made by a wonderful jeweler. We have chosen a gemstone (tourmaline) that has significant meaning to both of us, and the particular stone we have on hold is beautiful! I know the ring doesnt make the marriage, nor does the stone. Captive bead rings, lip piercing issues? Ok, I have had my lip done with snakebite style piercings. I bought these captive bead rings. They are black with a blue ball. Ok. Ive been wearing labrets so far then I decided to try the rins and I cant get the damn ball in it. When the ring is not in my lip I can get the ball in the ring easily,but when i go up to the mirror to put the ball in the ring while wearing it, I have so much trouble. I can get the ring far off enough to put it in but the ball slips and it wont push in without pulling too hard on my lip. Any tips to getting the stupid ball in the ring. P.S. other people. How many rings is too many to wear to your own wedding? I'm planning on wearing a ring my dad wore (he passed away a few years ago) along with my engagement ring to my wedding. But my grandmother offered up her mother's ring as my "something old" it's very tiny and will have to go on my pinky finger or halfway down another finger like she wears it. I'm going to have to have my dad's ring fixed as it was bent and then cut off his finger, it's sterling silver with a gold nugget center. My question is would both rings together be too much? I plan on honouring my dad in a few other ways at the ceremony and the reception and my great-grandmothers ring is family tradition (my cousin wore it and so will my other cousin).

Belly ring..will using gold rings help it to heal? My body is rejecting my beautiful belly ring so much that my skin around my navel is so thin that once i took out the ring, the skin is healing like a scab (hard and able to pick off) rather then a scar thats soft. When it does break (because i know it will), will the two little flaps stay there? or will it close up so i can get it repierced. Ill probably let it heal and get it re-pierced but my question is when i re-pierce it should i use a solid gold ring instead of the steel rings. Im pretty sure it should work because my ears are the same way, they only heal with all gold, so im assuming my belly will be the same way.

Rings that match? I know that most women wear a bridal ring set where one will fit into the other. Is it okay to wear rings that do not match or will it look odd?
