What does 828 and a jewelers mark mean on the inside of a ring?
I have no idea if the ring is real or fake. Does anyone know what "828" means, written on the inside of the ring?

- ...thats my area code...
- Supposing you speak about a silver jewelery, the code 828 is standing for the concentration of the silver in the alloy used for making the ring. In your case, 82.8% represents silver, the rest till 100% is usually copper.
- there is no silver alloy which has 82.8% silver. Your 828 is most probably just a batch number etc. It would have been interesting to know what the jewelers mark reads. As it is, I am fairly certain, your ring is costume jewelry. Cheers
